1. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
To maintain fairness and operational efficiency, Marisa Cleaning Services enforces the following cancellation terms, in accordance with general business contract principles recognized in the State of North Carolina:
Notice Period

Clients must notify us at least 72 hours in advance if they wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Notifications can be made via phone, text, or email and are considered valid once acknowledged by our team.
Late Cancellations

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled cleaning appointment are subject to a 50% charge of the total service value.

This amount compensates our staff for reserved time and lost opportunity cost.
❌ No-Shows

If the client fails to provide access to the property or does not cancel the appointment in time, the full cleaning fee will be charged.
⚠️ Repeated Cancellations

Consistent last-minute cancellations or reschedules may result in service suspension or termination at the discretion of management.
These terms are legally enforceable under North Carolina business law, and by scheduling a service, you consent to this policy.
2. Image & Marketing Usage Policy
We occasionally use photographs of cleaned spaces for social media or marketing purposes. We take client privacy seriously and apply the following rules:

By accepting service, the client grants permission for Marisa Cleaning Services to take and use non-identifiable photos of clean areas within the home (such as rooms, décor, appliances, etc.).

No images showing personal faces, documents, children, valuables, or private identifiers will be used without explicit written consent.

Clients may opt out at any time by sending a written request to marisacleaningnc@gmail.com.

All image use requests are stored for compliance.
This policy is in accordance with North Carolina privacy and consent laws regarding use of private property for commercial representation.

Marisa Cleaning Services retains the right to:

Take legal action in the event of defamation, unpaid services, or willful damage
Clients agree not to bring forward unreasonable or malicious legal claims. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first pursue informal resolution. If unresolved, any claims will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
